Smarter Oracle JD Edwards and E-Business Suite Reporting With Qlik
Qlik was founded in Sweden, is currently headquartered in Pennsylvania, has more than 36,000 clients worldwide, and works with over 100 partners like Solve and Differentia. Since it’s foundation in 1993, Qlik has established itself as one of the top leaders in the BI industry.
Differentia Consulting was founded in the UK in 2002 and is now an Oracle Gold partner. In 2008 after searching for a solution for a JD Edward’s customer, Differentia chose Qlik, became a partner, and are now the number one Qlik partner for the EMEA.
Differentia’s unique experience with both Oracle and Qlik has resulted in the creation of several products specially for Oracle EBS and Oracle JDE.
For those that may not be familiar with Qlik, it is a way to extract the information EBS and JDE provides you with, and presents it in a way that make it easy to digest and understand. As you may know EBS and JDE, while powerful, can sometimes be very difficult to work with, and having data is only as useful as long as you can understand it. Visualization on it’s own is not enough to do this, and you will need a full spectrum of tools that help you with everything from analysis, printed reports, data modeling, or sharing of the actual reporting. This is where Qlik and Differentia come in.
While many businesses use analysis tools in order to report historical data, Qlik moves beyond that into more important areas of the analysis cycle like trying to understand why something happened and most importantly attempting to predict what will happen in the future based off the past data.
What Differentia has done is combine their intimate knowledge of both Oracle and Qlik to create several templates that can help accelerate the understanding of underlying ERP data. This data can be pulled from a multitude of sources like Excel documents, an existing data warehouse, CRM systems like Sales Force, or even other ERP solutions like SAP. All of this data is extracted and then transformed into terms that business users can actually digest in order to better their business.
